An NYTimes.com Site License grants unlimited digital access to the NYTimes.com website while you are logged in to your NYTimes.com account on the network providing the site license. You can access site licenses from any computer or device that is connected to the network providing the site license. 

All NYTimes.com Site License users receive unlimited access to the New York Times archives from 1851 to present day. Site license access does not include NYTimes apps, e-reader editions or The New York Times Games. Site license users do not have the ability to share their digital access. Additional restrictions may apply.

How do I activate my access?

There is no explicit activation necessary. To enjoy unlimited access, you need to be connected to the providing network and logged in to an NYTimes.com account.

Do I have to log in or create an NYTimes.com account in order to use a site license?

Yes. To use a site license, you must sign in or create an NYTimes.com account and you must be logged in while reading NYTimes.com.

When does my unlimited access to NYTimes.com end?

Your site license is available whenever you are connected to the providing network. Your access will be limited if you are not connected to the network and will be unlimited when you reconnect to the network.

Can I use my site license outside of the network providing access?

No. You must be connected to the network providing the site license in order to enjoy unlimited access to the NYTimes.com website.

Can I use my site license while on a Virtual Private Network (VPN)?

Can I use my site license for unlimited access on my smartphone or tablet?

Yes. You can access the NYTimes.com website and the NYTimes.com mobile site from any device. However, your site license does not include access to any NYTimes apps.

If you are encountering a problem while attempting to visit the NYTimes.com website from a mobile device, you may be using your device’s cellular connection. To use your site license your device must be using the providing network’s internet connection.

I have an NYTimes.com Site License but my access is still limited – why?

Site licenses grant unlimited access to the NYTimes.com website only. If your access to articles and content is restricted you may not be signed in to your NYTimes.com account or you may not be connected to the providing network.
