Share The Times

 

Home Delivery subscriptions and some All Access subscriptions come with Bonus Subscriptions that you can share with friends and family. To check if your subscription includes Bonus Subscriptions, review Find Your Bonus Subscription Shares below.

If you share a bonus subscription with a friend or family member, they will have a complimentary All Access digital subscription with their own login information to the New York Times, for as long as you remain a subscriber, or until you revoke their access.

Your account data, billing information and personal information are not shared with the recipient of your bonus subscription.

Find Your Bonus Subscriptions Shares

  1. To determine if your subscription includes bonus subscriptions, log into your Account.
  2. Scroll down to Share The Times to find and manage your bonus subscriptions.
  3. If you don’t see Bonus subscriptions listed in this section, they are not included in your subscription. 
    • Consider Gifting a Subscription to the person you want to give a subscription to.
    • Upgrade your subscription type to one that includes Bonus Subscriptions by Changing Your Subscription to Family Subscription (currently available for select All Access subscribers only).

Manage Bonus Subscriptions

You can share or revoke a bonus subscription from the Share the Times section of your New York Times account.

Sharing a Bonus Subscription

To share a bonus subscription, you can choose one of the following options:

  • Enter the email address of the friend or family member you’d like to share access with in the Recipient’s email address field and select Send Invite. An invitation will be sent to the email address you provide. Once the invitation is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email. 
  • Copy a link and paste it into a messaging app of your choice to send. When the recipient opens the link, they will be prompted to Redeem the invitation and either create a New York Times account or log into an existing account.

Note: The recipient cannot have an account that is already associated with an active subscription.

Revoking a Bonus Subscription

To revoke a bonus subscription:

  1. Select Revoke next to the email of the person you wish to remove.
  2. Select Remove access to verify the cancellation. 
  3. A confirmation email will be sent to you and the recipient of your revoked Bonus subscription. You can now share this Bonus subscription with someone else.
 
 

Accept a Bonus Subscription

If a New York Times subscriber has sent you a bonus subscription, you will receive an invitation to Redeem it.

Once you’ve opted to redeem the invitation, you will be prompted to create an account. If your email address is already registered with The New York Times, and is not associated with a subscription, you will be prompted to log into your New York Times account

Once logged in, you will have an All Access digital subscription.
