To access your account and settings, log into your subscription with The Athletic.

Web Browser:

Select You from the top right corner of the page and choose Your Account. Here you can manage:

• Your name, email address, and password
• Guest Passes
• Your subscription
• Settings and Email Preferences

If your subscription is billed directly through The New York Times, you can select Manage via NYT to take further action.

The Athletic app:

Select Account from the navigation bar and choose Your Account. 

• Select your name to open your account details (name, email address and password, and User ID number)
• Edit the teams and leagues you follow
• Manage your app settings (such as text size, notifications, and dark mode), email preferences, and more

Web Browser:

You can save any story or article by selecting the ribbon icon under the title. Unsave a story by selecting the ribbon icon again.

To access your Saved Stories, select You from the top right corner of the page and choose Saved Stories.

The Athletic app:

You can save any story or article by opening the article in your app and selecting the ribbon icon in the top right corner. Unsave a story by selecting the ribbon icon again.

To access your Saved Stories, return to the homepage of the app and select Account from the navigation bar, then choose Saved Stories.

Following specific teams, leagues, and authors allows you to see updates at a glance when you log into The Athletic.

Web browser:

1. Select the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the page
2. Select Manage Feed. This will bring you to theathletic.com/manage-teams 
3. On this page, choose from Teams, Leagues, and Authors or use the search box to find specific topics to follow

The Athletic app:

1. Select the Edit button in the top left corner of the app homepage
2. To follow more teams, leagues, and authors select the plus (+) symbol to search for more
3. To remove teams, leagues, or authors, select Edit again from the Following pop-up window, and select the red circle to the left of the name

You can view statistics and schedules for the teams and leagues you follow under the Scores tab on the navigation bar.

Article comments must adhere to The Athletic’s Code of Conduct. The name listed in your Account will show up on your comments and replies in the format of first name, last initial.

• To like a comment, select the thumbs up icon
• To reply to a comment, select the arrow icon
• To report a comment, select the three dots and choose the appropriate reason for reporting

Web browser:

To comment on an article, scroll to the bottom of the article page and select Add a comment.

The Athletic app:

To comment on an article, select the comment bubble in the top right corner of the article page and type your comment in the text box.
