Manage Email Preferences For The New York Times

Learn how to adjust your email preferences including how to unsubscribe from Newsletters and Marketing and Promotional emails.  

You can manage the emails you receive from The New York Times in the Email and settings section of Account. 

Opt in or out of Marketing Communications

You can select Unsubscribe in the email footer of any New York Times marketing communications to opt out at any time. 

Note: You can't unsubscribe from messages related to account updates (for example, security alerts, billing, or time-sensitive notifications).

You can also opt in or out from marketing communications in your New York Times Account. 

  1. From the Email and Settings page navigate to the Marketing communications section.  
  2. Select Opt out/Opt in next to Updates and special offers.

To opt out of updates and offers sent from The Athletic, submit a request after selecting Billing Product Issues from the dropdown menu.

Unsubscribe From Newsletters

You can select Unsubscribe in the email footer of the newsletter you wish to unsubscribe from at any time.

You can also unsubscribe from newsletters in your New York Times Account. 

  1. From the Email and Settings page navigate to the Newsletters section. 
  2. Select Remove next to the newsletter you no longer want to receive.

To opt out of updates and offers sent from The Athletic, submit a request.
