Understand Your Invoice
The New York Times offers a variety of billing cycles to subscribers. The most common payment cycle is every four weeks, which can result in two billing cycles (two charges) occurring in the same month. All subscriptions are billed in advance.
In the Billing history section of your account you can see an overview of each billing invoice with the following information:
- Date: The date your invoice was posted and payment is due
- Subscription: The product covered by this invoice
- Service Period: The service period for for your most recent charges
- Amount: The total amount due as of the invoice posting date
Select the arrow to the right of any invoice line to open the details panel.

Home Delivery Subscriptions
You can download a PDF version of your invoice in the Billing history section of your account. Select the arrow to the right of any invoice line and selecting Download in the top right hand corner of the invoice details panel:
View Your Next Bill
You can view your Next payment date in the Payment Information section of the Subscription overview page.
View Your Subscription Rate
You can view your current subscription type and rate in the Your subscription section of the Subscription overview page.
I'm Seeing a Different Charge This Month
For both Home Delivery and digital subscriptions, a rate change in your monthly bill could happen for several reasons, including:
- Your promotional rate ended, and your subscription is now billed at the standard rate.
- You upgraded or downgraded your subscription.
- A credit was issued to your account for a delivery suspension or a reported delivery issue and the credit was applied to your bill.
Note: The New York Times occasionally increases the price of Home Delivery and digital subscriptions. We will always notify Subscribers prior to increasing the price of subscriptions by email or mailed letter.
